In Breakers, each player steps into the shoes of a daring hunter battling powerful creatures summoned each round, (from Phoenixes to frost‑tinged Wendigos) that reshape the rules and challenge your strategy. Defeating a monster earns you a trophy that grants advantages in future rounds, while all players who miss out receive equipment to enhance their next chance at victory. The first hunter to defeat three monsters triumphs.

It’s finally September — and yes, that means that the new Loose In The Library Kickstarter is launching! We expect to be going live in the next two weeks.

Loose In the Library is a collection of short competitive card games based on the same theme as our previous cooperative game Library Labyrinth. It’s actually a bit like a book with different chapters… Chapter 1 is a quick, simple card game — a game with two people could be as short as 10 minutes! Chapter 2 introduces negative points, making it slightly more challenging. Chapter 3 involves not only negative points, but also drafting, and could potentially get very competitive. Chapter 4 is the solo game — a pared back, simple struggle to keep on top of the ever-increasing literary terrors.

All these games are contained in one small box. We’re also looking at making the box into a book. It’s a game about books, so really it’s the obvious choice!

Crumbs! The Sandwich Filler Game now available for preorder! – “It’s the lunchtime rush at your cafe and you have a queue of hungry customers! Can you serve enough sandwiches in time to keep them all satisfied?”

Crumbs!, the cute and compact sandwich-making microgame, is up for preorder on the Minerva Tabletop Games website.

Stack ingredient cards, make sandwiches, and serve your customers to complete their orders and refresh your actions. If you run out of actions your customers will leave and give you a bad review. With a variable setup, quick playtime (10-20 mins), and satisfying gameplay, Crumbs! is a game that’ll leave you hungry for more!

Currently in production and due for release in Winter 2025, you will receive a 20% discount and priority delivery alongside Kickstarter backers when you preorder today.

We’ve been working incredibly hard this month to put the finishing touches on the artwork for our Royal Characters, and we’re thrilled to share that things are coming together beautifully! A special highlight has been creating the portraits for the four backers who pledged for the Become a Royal reward during our Kickstarter campaign. It’s been amazing to see them transformed into characters within the world of Fight for Inheritance.

Once the final pieces of artwork are complete, we’ll be sending everything over to our manufacturer so production can begin. We’re on schedule, and everything is looking good for shipping the games out to all of our backers by the end of the year.

We’re really excited for you to finally get your hands on the game and bring it to your own tables. We’ve poured a lot of passion into this project, and we can’t wait to hear about the epic battles, clever strategies, and memorable game nights you’ll have with friends and family. All the Malus Hortus files are now with the manufacturer! I’m expecting the digital proofs in the next few days and it’s so exciting to have reached this point. Hopefully I’ll have the sample to show off next month. For this month I thought I’d share the updates to the game board, I’m really happy with the changes. Adding in art for each of the damage and health spaces as well as painting the rivers and lakes in colour has made the map so vibrant, I think it was well worth the extra work.

Malus Hortus is still available to pre order on GameFound at the Kickstarter price of £38, I’ll try and keep the price down as long as possible before the games arrive. Once I have them, they’ll go up to the full RRP, so if you’d like a bit of a deal pre ordering is the way to go 😉.

The next step for me now is making the audio files for each of the story cards in the game. They will be available on the Malus Hortus page on this website for anyone who would prefer to listen to the stories.

In other news it’s time to get ready for Christmas sales. I know a lot of people don’t want to hear about Christmas this early in the year, but when you sell ornaments and games that make awesome gifts you need to be prepared, especially for the people who like to get their festive shopping done early.

Emerald Echoes has officially funded on Kickstarter! Thank you to our 3745 backers (and counting!) for making Emerald Echoes a reality. We’re excited to bring you a new game full of gorgeous illustrations, tactile components, and a heartfelt story written by Lauren Bello. If you missed the Kickstarter campaign, you can still get Emerald Echoes with a late pledge. Just search for Emerald Echoes on Kickstarter. Delivery is expected in Spring 2026.
