Looking for a specific designer?

We’re beyond thrilled that we launched the Kickstarter campaign for 14ers and reached our funding goal on day one! It’s so fun to see all the hard work and iteration over the past few years start to come to fruition, and I’m so grateful to so many people who have helped in so many ways to make this game much better than I ever could alone. If you’d like to secure a copy for yourself, all you need is a $20 pledge at the link!

We’re also close to finalizing files for the manufacturer and hope to start printing soon after we receive the payment from Kickstarter – another prototype will be on its way from the printer soon for us to review, and if everything seems good, then we’ll be ready to roll!

In a fun development, my wife is also expecting our second child in December! We’ve accounted for that very happy delay in our timeline projections, and are very excited to have another future playtester.

Have a wonderful autumn!

The waves shift and life changes under the seas, a new clan is called forth to rule Atlantis, but will it be you?

The old kingdom has passed and with it, a new clan rises to have their say in Atlantis. Players will use their wits to place their own leaders, support, and even pawns on the game sheet in such a way that theirs will be the winning clan and ascend them to the throne.

Each turn the players choose a value in their die. The lowest value is the one that goes first for the round. However, the lowest values are quite limited in their placement, while the higher values offer a broader spectrum of what they can do.

The values mimic the moves of Chess pieces with the 1 being a Pawn movement of 1 space diagonal, the 2 being a Rook and having orthogonally adjacent movement, 3 is a Knight and their L shaped moves, 4 a Bishop with longer diagonal moves, 5 is the Queen who is largely unhampered in her movement, and the King is 6, while only able to move 1 space, the King has the special ability to place any letter corresponding to the other pieces.

Players will fill in the letter for their value and in doing so control that space. The game continues with players figuring out ways to place more of their letters, but not matching ones, in rows and columns connected to their other letters to maximize scoring.

One to four players will find plenty of challenge in Kingdom of Atlantis as they choose their values, place their dice, then move them to control a space with a letter in their color. The dice return to their owner at the end of the round, but not before causing disruption by their placement. After all, only the Knight can jump other dice.

Players will find 3 different game sheets for the player counts which provide space for just enough movement to cause clever play. Plenty of agency is afforded the players each turn as they choose their values, making the game completely luckless. But can you guess what your opponent will do? Be prepared for them to block spaces you had your eye on.

Backerkit Holiday Market – This year Backerkit have put together a group-collab event filled with creators ready to ship products from past campaigns. I think it’s a great idea and I’ve been working my tush off to put together a good campaign. I’ve built several bundles of my games and gaming accessories – most are hand crafted – and I’ve included a nice little discount in each.

All Bundled Up For Winter – There are 6 bundles available, the first is just £1 for an Atikin Games badge which then allows you to make your own bundle from the add-on items available on the campaign, I’ve included an awful lot, hopefully something for everyone.
The “Stocking Filler Bundle” contains a mini dice set that you can pair with a crocheted mini dice bag or tin, also a D20 25mm button badge, 32mm Atikin Games button badge and a 58mm Dice Goblin badge.

October has been a whirlwind! We’re Åse, Kristian, Jørgen, and Nicholas — the team behind Mimir’s Challenge — and this past month was all about prepping for our first-ever booth at Spiel Essen. We learned so much about logistics, last-minute freight surprises, and the importance of comfy shoes. The best part? The games made it there in time — and so did we! 🎉

Being in Hall 4 surrounded by fellow indie creators was an unforgettable experience. We had the absolute joy of teaching and playing Mimir’s Challenge with players from all over the world. Seeing people engage with the game, laugh, strategize, and dive deep into Norse mythology with us… it was honestly magical.

The feedback we got — especially around the artwork and tight player interaction — was so encouraging and energizing. After years of development, it’s incredibly rewarding to see the game in action and in the hands of new players.

Now that we’re back in Norway, we’re shifting focus to getting the games into the hands of our preorder customers over the next few weeks. It feels surreal, but the finish line is in sight!

To most citizens of Black Metro, Overlord Drakow ‘Counter King’ is a mighty and enigmatic individual. Those who are more closely acquainted are familiar with the dry, witty, sarcastic sense of humour that Drakow often deals out. Fewer still are aware that Drakow is an experimentalist by design.

Intrigued to implement an AI version of himself, Drakow spearheads Project RAID (Research Artificial Intelligence Development). And now, Drakow has engineered the perfect opportunity to test his new AI design. With advanced technology, political control, and a new super powered upgrade, can any of the candidates truly stand up to the might of Overlord Drakow and Project RAID?

Absolute Ascendancy is proud to announce Project RAID, the first expansion for Black Metro: The Board Game! This expansion features two advanced game modes – AI and RAID – both of which allow players to challenge the overlord of Black Metro!

Whichever mode of operation you choose to engage the opposition against, Overlord Drakow ‘Counter King’ is one of the most dangerous entities within the Black Metro universe. Will you have what it takes to duke it out against this high-powered opponent and overcome Project RAID? Find out when Black Metro Project RAID releases at the end of 2025!

The world ended. Then you did too.

Five Years After is a revolutionary new tabletop storytelling experience from Steve Dee (Relics, Partners, The Score) that explores the grim nature of a realistic apocalypse using reverse-chronology storytelling. Your character is whittled away piece by piece as time winds back and back and back to the beginning, and the path to annihilation becomes clear. You know what you became: now you get to find out why.

Five Years After is a game unlike anything else. Steve Dee brings his unique design skills to the fore to produce something dark and beautiful that reflects on the true horror of a civilisation extinction, born from 1980s nuclear fears and carried forward to the threat of modern pandemics and climate change. It will appeal to fans of things like 28 Days Later, The Day After and Threads.

Five Years After is in final production and layout to turn the game into a beautiful cloth-backed hardcover that stands out on any shelf. Only 500 physical copies of the game will be manufactured and it will not be crowdfunded. Pre-order now to save $25 on your copy.

Voids 2.0 pre-launch page is now on Kickstarter. Voids 2.0 is a fast-paced modular PNP game with a disappearing board, where tactics and combos win the day!

Collect matter to fill the Wormhole before the ever-increasing Voids consume the board! But with a limited hand, will you play it safe or push your luck? The more cards you play, the more Voids appear…so you must choose wisely! Solo/team/vs modes. 1-10 players.

We’ve also made some changes to our murder mystery game Murder at Marlborough Manor and hope to launch that early next year, along with Horses for Courses, a horse racing themed tactical betting game inspired by classic card games.

We are launching the latest expansion to Mission to Planet Hexx – the 2026 Satellite Pack November 21, 2025, to coincide with the start of PAX Unplugged!

Based on the great success of our 2025 Satellite Packs, we are moving forward with a new set of cards for a new year! This is a Kickstarter campaign for a limited game expansion, but some Reward Tiers and Add-Ons include the Core Game and Beyond Expansion, so that new players can get on board easily and explore.

The cards will incorporate rules from the existing sets at the time of printing, (so for 2026, this includes the Core Game plus the Beyond expansion game), as well as a few new mechanics, at our discretion. The inside of the pack will contain rule reminder text for mechanics such as All-Play, Boosters, Continuous, Hybrid cards, and others, as these rules pertain to the cards within the pack.

The set will include new cards that allow you to:
– change your choice of Mission File
– add counters to the game
– see all other Players’ Hands
– steal Data from other Players
– Delete Hexes from your own Mission File
– get up to fourteen extra Actions in a turn
– win instantly

and much more!

Hello there! Could you help me with my bag please? So glad you could come and meet me. Ah let me get the keys, there we go.

Oh for sure! The conventions have been great! First we went to LinCon, we’ve been there many many times and it never gets old. It’s very much focused on board games so it’s perfect for us. We also delivered the last game from the Perilous Pond Kickstarter. Lots of laughs, long days and just a great atmosphere.

Then after travelling far and wide we ended up back in Linköping, but this time for NärCon. NärCon is not quite a convention, it’s more of a “Festival of all things geek”. Lots of cosplay, panels, weird food, dances, lightsaber sword fights. concerts, video games and then in a corner a small board game section. It was a great couple of days!

Then in fall we went North, up to MimiCon in Falun. A brand new convention where we showed off our games to anyone willing to play!

At all of these we met not only board gamers but also board-game designers like ourselves. At LinCon the finals for the Swedish Annual Game design Awards were taking place, at NärCon we met the designers of the very cool game “300 Gnomes in a Trench Coat” and at MimiCon we met Bärsärk Games designers of the the small but neat “Romeo and Juliet” Game.

Wait what’s that by the basement door? Is that mold? Hmm, no, it smells like cardboard. Could it be?!? Is a new game design percolating down there? Oh look a couple of wooden disk droppings and is that a meeple hiding in the corner?! Well I suppose it’s about time for something new!

SPIEL at Essen (October 23-26) is in the can; it was a huge & successful show for us – but also extremely demanding (I wish it would be a little bit less crowded). The team worked very hard and we had lots of demo games at four demo tables. In addition, the dozens of meetings in our two cabins went very well; it is always good to see old friends and partners but also new ones.

The focus now is on several releases we´ll have in the last two months of the year:
Arkwright by Stefan Risthaus
Angel´s Share by Scott Almes
A new Root DE shipment from Leder Games
The Arcs campaign game DE from Leder Games
Limit DE from Ludonaute

Hey everyone, the big news from Huff No More is that we have now started the promotion of our next game, Roller Disco!

Roller Disco is a fast-paced card game where you are playing cards in sequences around a mirrorball with the aim of emptying your hand of cards first to win. To start your sequence you must declare if you are “Movin’ on up” (playing higher) or “Gettin’ on down” (playing lower) to follow cards that are laid out in your route. There are special Jam cards which allow to skip cards or even perform a 180 degree turn to continue your route.

The feedback for Roller Disco in playtesting has been fantastic and we are delighted to now share a picture of one of our preview copies. Joss has spent a lot of time researching the history of roller disco to capture the style and vibe of the late 70s but also tap into our own nostalgia as 80s kids! It was also our first time experimenting with holo laminate to get the shiny disco effect on the box and we couldn’t be happier with how they have come out!

Much more detail to follow as we prepare for a Kickstarter campaign in 2026, but in the meantime, you can follow our prelaunch page now!
